Terms & refunds
Effective 1 July 2026Plain language, because that's the whole brand. Using Timbrel means you agree to what's below.
What Timbrel is
Timbrel is a guided builder that turns your answers into a "voice file" — a portable document of style instructions you can give to an AI model. The Starter file is free. The Full ($29) and Pro ($59) files are one-time purchases. No subscriptions.
Your file is yours
You own the voice files Timbrel generates for you — use them personally or commercially, edit them, keep them forever. We claim no rights over anything you or your AI write with them. The one thing you can't do is resell the files themselves (or a thin wrapper around them) as a competing product.
Payments
Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record — they process the payment, handle applicable VAT/sales tax, and issue the receipt. We never see your card details.
Refunds — 14 days, no questions
If the file isn't what you hoped, email hello@timbrelai.com with your Voiceprint ID or receipt within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund it in full. You don't have to explain. (You can even keep the file — deleting text from your computer is not a business model.)
Free updates
Paid files are regenerated from your stored answers each time you fetch them, so engine improvements reach you at no extra cost via your Voiceprint ID link. If we ever retire that endpoint, your downloaded files keep working — they're plain text.
What we can't promise
A voice file steers an AI model; it doesn't control one. Results vary by model, by prompt, and by how models change over time. Timbrel is provided "as is" — we promise honest effort and a working product, not specific outcomes from a third-party AI. Our total liability for anything is capped at what you paid us.
Fair use of the service
Don't abuse the free tier with automation, probe the paid endpoints, or use the builder to violate the law. We may block traffic that does.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use after that means you accept the new version.
